Handmade Nation at School of Art Thursday

A screening of the documentary Handmade Nation
will be held at the Peninsula School of Art in Fish Creek Thursday,
Oct. 1 at 7pm. The film will be followed by a question-and-answer
session with the film's creator, Faythe Levine.
The film reveals
the emergence of the "do-it-yourself" (DIY) crafts movement in the
United States, and has enjoyed worldwide recognition since its release.
Its New York premier at the Museum of Arts and Design sold out.

Half Marathon Registration Opens Nov. 1
|
Race capped for first time
Registration for the third annual Door County Half Marathon and Nicolet Bay 5k opens Nov. 1.
The race has been capped at 1,200 participants for the Half Marathon and 400
for the 5k after attracting over 1,000 registrants in 2009, nearly double the 2008 inaugural race.
