New View
By Myles Dannhausen Jr.

The next time you drive into Fish Creek from the south, you'll notice a new view. A short stretch of trees were removed this week below the bluff near the top of the winding hill that takes
Fish Creek Viewdrivers into the center of the village. The removal opens up a view of the harbor and Peninsula State Park shoreline you likely never knew existed.

When I saw workers trimming the trees a couple mornings ago, my first feeling was irritation at the thinning of the landscape, but when I saw the final product I had to reconsider. It opens a gorgeous scene and a new look at Fish Creek. My major concern now is what happens when drivers start slowing suddenly (or worse, stopping) on the hill to take a look.
