When I Was A Kid... Myles Dannhausen Jr.
We were free to roam. It wasn't all that long ago, but when I was growing up in Egg Harbor, by the time I was 8 our days started by hopping on the bike first thing in the morning and ended when we returned at sunset. Door County Rib Fest
|
Door County's best restaurants will prepare ribs in
hopes of being crowned Door County's Rib Champion today at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 692, Tacoma Beach Road in Sturgeon Bay.
Tasters are invited
to sample ribs along with other fixins. DJ/Kareoke, silent auction,
and more. Rib fest runs from 4-9pm. The $15 per person fee goes to benefit one of Door County's great ideas, Neighbor-to-Neighbor Caregivers of
Door County. Among many other great services, Neighbor-to-Neighbor maintains an inventory of medical equipment that people can borrow at no charge. If you've ever had a procedure or an accident and been shocked to see the fee for a boot, or crutches, or a walker, you'll appreciate how valuable this exchange can be.
